Z-Chess is a cross between GLE'X (trianGLE EXpertise) and conventional Chess.

GLE'X was invented in 1998 by a Hungarian born American, an Expert at conventional Chess. Later that year, trying to simplify the hard-to-learn game of GLE'X, he ended up putting 2 of the GLE'X boards together and modifying the new board to accomodate pieces of the ancient game. Adding an extra Queen and figuring out a new way to move the pieces, Z-Chess was born.

Tournaments-Rating-Publication

The 1st Z-Chess World Championship, planned for the year 2000, had to be cancelled because no Sponsor was found. Hopefully, the event will take place between now and the end of 2010. If you are interested in hosting the Championship, please send an e-mail to the address above.

A Rating System has already been established.

There is a Z-Chess Magazine published on-line. It is updated from time to time. Eventually it will function as a monthly publication, bringing news from all over the world.
